Yay! Well done America.
McCain's concession speech was excellent too - shame we didn't see more like that during the campaign.
Right, now that democracy has been restored and all that, let's move on to more important matters: the election coverage. In particular, the BBC's graphics.
I'm sorry, but they were just so boring! Jeremy Vine is no Peter Snow, and the interactive virtual touchscreen was unimaginative and poorly executed. Although it was mildly entertaining to watch him prodding an invisible button with no effect, I was left wondering what the point of it all was. Couldn't the graphs have been manipulated from the control room, leaving the presenter to interpret them? It's hardly Minority Report - he'd have been better fiddling with a giant Open Moko.
The CGI set seemed a bit pointless too - it looked like a Sky News themed Quake mod. Was it really necessary to create a shiny virtual TV studio within a real one? Nice use of Macs elsewhere, though.
Anyway, it's 5:30am. Time for SLEEP.
